Recruiting

We compete with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association in Zone 2, Region 2. Due to IHSA regulations students must be full-time undergraduate students to compete with the IHSA. The University requires that all students be in good academic standing.

Tryouts are held at the beginning of each semester. If tryouts are needed for the Winter 2009 semester, the date for these tryouts will be posted closer to the beginning of the Winter semester. Tryouts for Winter 2011 will be held at Synergy Farm (see links) on the weekend of January 22-23rd. Time TBD. What you need:

$50 for coaching (in cash or cheque)and a little bit of gas money if applicable
Signed and completed Release of Liability and Student Athlete forms handed to you at the info session
Your class schedule
Appropriate riding attire (polo, breeches, riding boots, helmet, hairnet)

Equipment you will need for shows:

* Tall black riding boots
* Helmet (black) and
* Hair net
* White show shirt preferred
* Show jacket

Team Fees will be discussed at the info session at the beginning of every semester. The team receives very little financial support from the university so riders should be prepared to finance themselves or fundraise. We do have an Adopt-A-Rider program to help our riders.
